Hero background

What will we learn & why?

It is no longer contested that in modern culture there is a crisis of disconnection, isolation, mental health and physical wellbeing. Ecosystems are approaching or passing critical tipping points.

We can remember how to belong again, in our simple humanity. We will restore our connection to mother earth, the sacred waters, plants, animals and each other. In this way we can foster connection and return to a more meaningful way of life.

We will plant vital, open pollinated seeds as well as spiritual seeds of hope.

Team collaboration

We will plant the seeds

Learning how to grow healthy, nutritious food with reverence and respect. Keeping the intention that we work for for the flourishing of all life. Heritage wheat will be grown for baking, our ‘sacred corn’ which contains the genetic memory of our people in contact with the earth.

Natural Crafts

Land based craft with local materials. Weaving fibres from hemp or flax, building the roundhouse with coppiced chestnut timbers, clay dug from beneath our feet.

Story & Song

Study how language shapes our understanding of the world - exploring myth and storied learning. Come together and sing with the earth.

Ritual & Ceremony

We will hold regular gatherings, ceremonies, feasts and celebrations to remember how to be deeply connected.

How?

Sitting at the feet of indigenous elders. Knowledge sharing, 'learning by doing' and learning from nature through observation and connection. Coming together round the fire to discover deeper truths about our own nature.
